The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elvira Winters can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Ethel Conroy
Condolence: To the Family of Elvira,
I was sorry to learn of Elvira's passing. She was one of a very few women my mom called "friend." Elvira and my mom (Ethel Saling Conroy) attended high school and college together and had a life-long friendship, despite sometimes long periods of not seeing one another. My mother often told me funny stories of their adventures together. Elvira was very comforting to me when my mom passed away some years ago; I pray they are together again, giving glory to their God and having the very best adventure doing so. May she rest in the Lord's eternal peace!

Condolence: I am very sorry about the loss of your mother, grandmother, and friend. Elvira was a great person who we loved having at the Upper Room as one of our spiritual directors and friends. Elvira's wisdom, deep love for God and people, and great sense of humor have been a blessing for all of us. Thank you, Elvira, for your presence, love, and commitment to the Upper Room ministry and community. We will miss you!
With love and gratitude,
Maureen Conroy, RSM
