Elvira S.  Winters (Sisti)
Elvira Sisti Winters 92 of Spring Lake Hts., NJ died Friday, August 10, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Jersey City, NJ Elvira was a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, Jersey City, and Caldwell University, Caldwell. She was a summer resident of Spring Lake since 1931 and became a full time resident in 1971. She taught 7th grade science and social studies in St. Aloysius Grammar School, Jersey City and was past president of the Caldwell College Alumni Association. She was spiritual director at the Upper Room Spiritual Center, San Alfonso Retreat House and St. Catharine Parish as well as an Eucharistic Minister, Hospital Pastoral Care Minister, and founder of Hope Bereavement Group.

Elvira was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul F. Winters in 1990, a great grandson Maxwell, a brother Anthony J. Sisti and sister Josephine E. Sisti. She was devoted mother of; Jeanette W. Oliver and her husband George, Paul A. Winters, Mary E. Winters, Elizabeth S. Winters, loving Nanel to; Christopher, Janna, Paul, Taylor, Geoffrey, Kate, Andrew and Kristen and her great grandchildren; Audrianna and Reza.

Visiting will be Sunday from 1-5 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Funeral Mass will be Monday, 9 AM at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake.
