Dear Denise and family, I'm very sorry to read about the passing of Lucille. I will always remember her enjoyment shopping at my store. In spite of her new knees, she still tried on some new clothes for a special occasion. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is with your family during this difficult time. May the promises in God's word the Bible comfort your family. At John 5:28-29 He promises "...The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out..." At Acts 24:15 He promises "...There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous...." and at Revelation 21:4 He promises "...He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more..." God yearns for you to see your Mom again. Please remember those promises when you think of Lucille.

Growing up around the McDougald household was as natural as mustard on a hot dog for me. You were all a family of influence in my life at a pivotal time of forming myself and who I remain today. Saddened to hear of the loss of such a generous, loving, compassionate light in this world. Dear Friends: We are very sorry for your loss. Lucille was a dear friend to us, our mom and, as I remember it, everyone in the old neighborhood. I remember well her Halloween parties that scared this nervous young boy with dangling, boiled spaghetti that she said were worms. It's been quite a ride and Lucille was a lovely part of it.
