Obituary for Dorothy F. Wright (Burns)
Dorothy F. (nee Burns) Wright, of Belmar passed away Thursday January 10, 2019 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Born in Pottsville, PA., she had lived in Lake Como and then in Belmar for the past 67 years.
A devout Catholic, Dorothy was a Communicant of St. Rose Church, and had been a Teacher’s Aide in St. Rose Grammar School. She had also volunteered at the Food Pantry in Belmar for 22 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles F. and Anna Burns.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years William J. Wright, her beloved daughters Catherine Greenberg of Surprise, AZ, and Theresa Hennessy of Jackson, 2 sisters in law Joan and Candice, and her 6 cherished grandchildren.
Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 17, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Rose Church, 603 7th Ave., Belmar. Entombment St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Rose Church, or the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa’s Nuns) 144 Ridge Ave., Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
