Obituary for Glendon C Gray

Glendon C. Gray, WWII Veteran, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 in Brick, NJ at age 92. Glen served in the United States Marines from April 1944-1950. He was part of the Pacific campaign on Saipan, Okinawa. Guam and Taiwan, landing in Nagasaki in September 1945. He then went on to serve with the U.S Army in Vienna, Austria during the Cold War. He was a lifelong member of the VFW and American Legion.

Glen retired from Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ. He was a longtime resident in Stirling, NJ where he enjoyed sports, the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and family pets.

He leaves behind his wife, Helene of 62 years; his two sons and two daughters; daughter-in-law; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Beaver Dam, KY, he is predeceased by his parents, Lossie Burgess and Elmer Gray; three brothers and two sisters.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service on April 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd, Gillette, NJ 07933.
