Obituary for Jean Marie Bogan (Baletti)
Jean Marie (Baletti) Bogan, 69, of Brick passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mrs. Bogan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a communicant of Epiphany RC Church in Brick. Jean enjoyed deep sea fishing. She was a devoted hockey fan and loved attending various sports activities for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family.
Born in Englewood, she grew up in Tenafly and lived in Brick and Miami Florida before moving back to Brick in 1974.
Mrs. Bogan was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Ruth Baletti; and by her brother, John Baletti. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Joseph Anthony Bogan, Sr.; 3 sons, Joseph Anthony Bogan, Jr. and his wife, Olafia of Germantown, MD, Patrick M. Bogan and his wife, Melanie of Manasquan and Ryan M. Bogan and his wife, Amy of Brick; brother, Gary Baletti of Wall; and 5 grandchildren, Brynja, Katie, Joseph III, Ryan Jr. and Petur.
Visiting will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be conducted 10am on Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt. Donations may be made in her name to Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa FL 33607.
