Obituary for Christopher James Devine

Christopher James Devine, 28, died suddenly on Sunday, December 9, 2018.  Chris was an apprentice of the plumbers and steamfitters local 486. He was a 2008 graduate of Brick Township High School and was a die-hard Oakland Raiders Football fan. Chris proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 2008-2012 and had forged many friendships from all walks of life. He had a tremendous sense of humor and truly was the life of the party. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Semper Fi  
Surviving are his loving newlywed wife, Jessica Lynn (Torres) Devine; mother, Kathleen Devine and his sister, Lauren Devine of Brick; father James Devine and his wife, Rose of Shamong; paternal grandfather, Christopher Devine and his wife, Wanda of Florida; nephews, Isaiah and Preston; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and faithful Marine brothers. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Rita and James McManus; and by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Devine
Visiting will be on Sunday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick.  A prayer service will be conducted on Monday 9:30am in the funeral home.  Burial and military and honors will follow on Monday 11am at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown in the outside shelter.  Donations may be made in his name to the go fund me account below
