Obituary for Miriam E. Reilly
Miriam E. Reilly, 93, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
Miss Reilly was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of South Orange before moving to Leisure Knoll, Manchester 20 years ago. After graduating from Marylawn of the Oranges Academy, she worked for Prudential Insurance in Newark for many years before retiring. She was active in the Women’s Guild of Seton Hall College of Medicine.
Miss Reilly was predeceased by her parents, George W. and Marie (Fischer) Reilly, as well as by her brother, George A. Reilly. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Bernard and Carol Reilly of Sea Girt, as well as by her nephews, Timothy, Christopher and David Reilly, and her nieces, Kathleen Reitz, Rebecca Martin and Colleen Sarthou.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 4-7 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Church, Manasquan, on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 9:30 AM, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers donations in Miss Reilly’s memory may be made to Seton Hall University, via www.shu.edu.
