John Michael O’Malley “Jack”, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Brandywine Reflections in Brick. Born and raised in Avoca, PA, Jack then moved to down neck Newark where he met his wife, Clare. He also resided is Old Bridge and Manalapan.

Jack proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the LST 693 ship.

Mr. O’Malley retired as an iron worker and spent his golden years in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Jack was a founding member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh in Old Bridge. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan.

He is predeceased by his first love, his wife Clare of 26 years in 1975 and the second love of his life, Reva Hoolsema; his sister Carol Ann Colo and his son in law John Kehl.

Surviving are his loving children; John J. O’Malley, Kevin O’Malley and his wife Susan, Brian O’Malley and his wife Shirley, Gloria Kehl and Marie Zbranak and her husband Bob; his brothers Donald, Tom, Michael and Pat O’Malley; his sisters Kay Parsick, Lavona Fitsimmons and Sharon Gagliotti; his seven grandchildren, Theresa and Shawn Heifert, David and Lisa Kehl, Kaitlyn and Chris Tinder, Lauren and Kendall O’Malley, Nicholas and Thomas Zbranak; his 6 great grandchildren, Julia, Tyler, Jordan, Logan, Cole and Claire.

And so, to the friends and family of Jack O’Malley who knew him best -go out and celebrate the life of this wonderful man -go out and make it like a nightclub!

Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2-6 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick, followed by the interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
