Barbara Cavanaugh, 61, of Ocean Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. Mrs. Cavanaugh worked as a medical assistant for Monmouth Cardiology for many years. She also enjoyed painting and crafting, trips to Florida and spending time on the beach. She was a proud Belmar Beach season badge holder since 1975.
Born in Plainfield, she grew up in Eatontown and lived in Wall for many years before moving to Ocean Township 15 years ago where she resided with her long-time boyfriend, Patrick Lorimer.
Mrs. Cavanaugh was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Catherine Novroski. Surviving are her adult children, John Cavanaugh of West Long Branch, Tara Cavanaugh of Long Branch, Briana and Steve DiPardo of Greenlawn, NY and Shawna and Stephen Smith of Howell; brother, Mark Novroski and his wife, Kathy of Furlong, PA; 3 grandchildren, Aiden, Avery, Aria DiPardo; 3 nephews, John, Ryan and Jake; and her grandpups, Hephy and Kratos.
A memorial Mass will be offered on 10:30am Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Catharine’s RC Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake. Final interment will be private.
