Margaret A. Papp, 92, of Brick passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Shorrock Gardens Care Center in Brick.
Born and raised in Bayonne, Margaret also lived in Elizabeth, Roselle, Scotch Plains, and Washington State before returning to Brick. She was a social person, made lifelong friends wherever she lived. She was the family communicator, keeping all informed of family and friends activities.
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides raising her family and babysitting grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she had worked as a secretary and had achieved Million Dollar Seller Club status as a realtor. She had been an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bridge,
She was involved with her church no matter where she lived. She was member of the Rosary Society, as a communicant of Epiphany Church, she attended daily mass, volunteered to prepare altar cloths and contributed to the food pantry.
Mrs. Papp was predeceased by her husband,George Robert Papp in 2001; parents, George and Anna Sonca and her sister, Frances Hurajt in 2017.
Surviving are children, Nancy Suchcicki and husband, Edwin of Cape Coral, Florida, George and wife, Lois of Manahawkin, Gregory and wife, Katie of Parlin, Barbara Tengtio and husband, Oscar of Bellevue, Washington. She leaves 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at The Church of the Epiphany, 615 Thiele Road, Brick,NJ. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ
