Sharon Eileen Surrette, formerly of Wall Township, passed from life to Eternity on Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018, following a long illness. Born at Germantown Hospital outside of Philadelphia, she was the eldest daughter of Paul and Mildred Werden’s six children. Sharon loved her family, the Arts, and literally traveled the Globe. A champion of those less fortunate, she pursued her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees after raising her own four children, ultimately retiring as the Assistant Director of the New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect.
She was predeceased by her daughter Danielle and son Kevin. She is survived by John, her husband of 60 years, son Steve, daughter-in-law Judy and their children Etienne and Juliann Surrette, son Kyle, sister and brother-in-Law Pat and Fred Eller, and her sister and brothers Jay, Michele, Michael, and Albert.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, Rt. 35 and New Bedford Road, Wall, NJ, on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 5:00-6:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 PM.
