Kathryn E. Clark, 72, of Howell, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.
Miss Clark was born in Newark, and lived in the Vailsburg section, before coming to Wall as a child. She had resided in Howell for 30 years. She was a member of the Wall High School, Class of 1963, and maintained lifelong friendships with classmates. Kathryn was employed as a Case Worker for the State of N.J., Division of Developmentally Disabled, for many years, prior to retiring in 2003. She was also a highly-respected union leader. Kathryn was an animal lover, who was predeceased by her beloved dogs, Westley and Sloane. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time at the beach in Belmar.
Miss Clark was predeceased by her parents, Thomas H., Sr., and Jessie (Lineberry) Clark, and by her brother, Thomas H. Clark, Jr. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Donald Loftus, of Port St. Lucie, FL, her brother Robert Clark and Patricia Uhor, of Wall, and her brother and sister-in-law, John and Sharon Clark, of Brick. Also surviving are Kathryn’s nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 1-5 P.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of the Epiphany, Brick, on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 10 A.M., followed by burial at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, at www.cancer.org, or to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
