Cecilia Louise "Ceil" ( nee Sagan) Vadas, 94, of Wall Township and formerly of Spring Lake Heights passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on June 16, 2018.
Ceil was born on 25 May 1924 to Anna and Michael Sagan, in Latrobe, PA. She met the love of her life, Michael Regis Vadas, right before he left for WWII. They married on October 20, 1945 in Latrobe.
Soon after, Mike and Ceil moved to Spring Lake Heights, started a new life and raised their family. Once Mike retired, they spent their winters in West Palm Beach, Florida.
They led a full and happy life with many dear friends.
Ceil is preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Vadas in 2008, her sons, Michael and Thomas Vadas, and her son-in-law, Tony Palumbo.
She is survived by her children, Anna Marie Palumbo of Phoenix, Az.,
Monica O’Halloran and husband Skip of Wall Twp., David A. Vadas and wife Cheryl of The Villages, Fla., her daughters in law Sandie Vadas of Stuart, Fl. and Joanne Vadas of Delaware, 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:30am St. Catharine's Church, Spring Lake followed by entombment in St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society (your local chapter) in her memory.
