Obituary for Ollie Klein Jr.

Ollie Klein, Jr. 93 of Wall Township passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18,
2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune with his devoted family at his
bedside. Ollie was born in South Belmar and was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore and lifelong Communicant of St. Rose RC Church, Belmar. He was a proud graduate of Kings Point (United States Merchant Marine Academy) and served as an Ensign during WW II in the US Naval Reserve. Following his military career he joined his father’s business, Klein’s Fish Market in Belmar, and never officially retired. He was an avid bowler and collector of Lionel Trains. The New York Mets and New York Giants lost one of their most loyal fans.

Ollie was predeceased by his parents Ollie and Elizabeth (Brower) Klein Sr. and
his wife Mary Procaccini Klein, his siblings Jack Klein and Jeanette Klein DeRoche,
and his son in law Henry Lease. Surviving are his devoted children, his son Ollie Klein III and wife Michele of Spring Lake Heights, his daughter Michelle Klein Lease of Wall Twp., his grandchildren Elizabeth Klein Love and husband Brian, Jacqueline Klein Leon and husband Kenneth, and Michael and Samantha Lease, and 4 great grandchildren Brianna and Alexandra Leon, and Grace and Giuliana Love.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 9:30 - 11:00am at the O’Brien
Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at 11:30am at St. Rose RC Church, 603 7th Ave., Belmar. Interment
will follow in St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Rose in memory of
Ollie Klein.
