Annette T. Douglas died peacefully on April 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was 81 years old.
Annette was born on December 24, 1936 in Newark, NJ to her parents, Harry and Jean Tetorka. She was the beloved wife of Ronald M. Douglas for 64 years. They moved from Newark to the Jersey Shore in 1965, where they remained life-long residents.
She was a graduate of the Wilfred Beauty Academy of Cosmetology, Newark, NJ in 1963. Annette enjoyed a long career as a hair stylist and business owner. She was a wonderful artist, decorator, avid gardener and had a passion for bird watching. She enjoyed spending time with her family in her beautiful home.
Annette is survived by her husband, Ronald M. Douglas, Brick, NJ; her son, Ronald G. Douglas, spouse Ella M. Douglas, daughter, Donna L. Boris, spouse, Edward T. Boris, daughter, Eileen M. Douglas-Hovsepian, spouse, Robert M. Hovsepian, son, Kenneth B. Douglas, spouse, Susan H. Douglas, her brother, Steven Tetorka; grandchildren, Tanya M. Cass, spouse Larry Cass, Nicole J. Boris, partner Jeffrey Keiffer, Amber P. Boris, partner Edward Aldana, Matthew B. Douglas, Colin J. Douglas, Julia G. Douglas, and great granddaughter, Madeline O. Cass. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Ann Douglas, her sister, Phyllis Oldock and her brother, Gregory Tetorka.
Visitation will take place on April 17, 2018 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ.
