Stephanie J. Skarzynski, 92 of Fairway Mews, Spring Lake Heights early in the evening of April 7th, Stephanie peacefully slipped away to join her husband of 63 years, Matthew, her dear grandson Craig, and her siblings Stanley, William and Joseph Widejko and Helen Sluka.
She leaves behind her two sons, Robert and Peter as well as her daughter-in-law Judith, grand-daughters
Jana, Kara, and Allana along with her husband Dan. Also missing her are her surviving sibling Stella Machinski, sister-in-laws Irene Daley, and Toni Skarzynski, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
After their retirement, Stephanie and Matthew moved from Maplewood, where they raised their two sons, to Spring Lake Heights, where they lived for over twenty years, where they had many friends.
Stephanie was a volunteer at JF Ackerman Pavilion at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune for 21 years and was a member of the Senior Aerobics, Wall Township for 20 years.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Catharine and St. Margaret’s Parish, Spring Lake.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00am to 10:00am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Margaret’s RC Church, Corner of 3rd and Ludlow Aves., Spring Lake. Inurnment will be private in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
