Mary Ciaccia, 68, of Brick, NJ, died on February 21, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical in Neptune. Mary was born in Germany and migrated to the United States as an infant. She was raised in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Josef and Bronia Rotenberg. She graduated from James Madison High School and was employed as a dental assistant by Dr. Robert Weller in Brooklyn for over 30 years before retiring. Mary moved to Brick, NJ permanently in 2013 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and survived by her loving and devoted husband, James Ciaccia, her loving daughter and son-in-law Tina and Jerome Flick. Grandchildren Vanessa, J.D., Derek and Samantha. Her niece and husband Barbara and Lou Eggert. Her nephew and wife Ian and Tammy Kaminski.

Mary loved to cook, knit, sew, go to Atlantic City and play scrabble. Above all she loved her family and watching her young grandchildren grow! She enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, tending to her flowers each Spring, and taking in the sun poolside.

The family offers appreciation and thanks to the Nurses and Staff at Jersey Shore Medical for the compassion, quality care and professionalism extended to Mary. Many thanks to Dr. Costanzo for his knowledge and directness. Special thank you to nurses Carole, Melissa and Michele for your compassion and assistance during this difficult time on our lives.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 1-2:30PM at O’Brien Funeral Home followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30PM. Cremation will be private.
