Robert Edward Williams, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018, at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove, NJ. Robert Williams was born and raised in Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ. He had resided in Sea Girt for many years before moving to Ocean Grove in April. Mr. Williams served his country in the US Navy during World War II. Upon his return from the war, Robert was gainfully employed and worked until his early seventies. He spent the rest of his years socializing with his many friends and especially staying in close contact with his Navy buddies. Since Robert loved the sea, he was blessed to have been able to live out the rest of his days near his childhood home.
As was his wish, Robert Williams has been cremated and his ashes will be laid to rest with his parents, Robert & Rena Williams, in Atlantic View Cemetery, 49 Forest Ave., Manasquan on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12:30PM. Anyone wishing to attend the memorial service should go directly to the cemetery as there will be no procession from the funeral home.
